Sass Pordoi

The extraordinary Sass Pordoi viewpoint, located at an altitude of 2,945 meters, is an exceptionally picturesque place inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. It has rightly earned the name Terrace of the Dolomites.

This large rocky balcony extending over the valley offers an impressive high-altitude view of the petrified atolls that made up the original coral archipelago: from Marmolada to Pale di San Martino, from the Catinaccio group to the Sassolungo range and from the Ampezzo valley to the southernmost tip of the Brenta Dolomites .

The view extends even further, however, with the Ortles and Cevedale ranges as well as the Swiss and Austrian Alps visible in the distance.
